The Country's New Coat of Paint
If you have been in class, you know that a major topic of discussion has been this midterm election. We have been looking at the potential of many Republicans taking Democratic states. This past Tuesday, such a thing happened. A country that used to be painted blue politically, has now received a new, some say fresh, coat of paint. This new paint is Republican red. As many old Democrat incumbents exit, many new fresh Republicans will be settling in to "stir the can." It will be interesting to see how President Obama approaches this new group of representatives and senators he will be working with. Is this the right move? Will the Republicans be able to make the changes necessary to increase the health of our country? Regardless of the opinions, one thing is safe to say. This is probably not the "change" that Obama was speaking of when he was elected two years ago.
